The Welcome Home Initiative

Imagine that one year you are healthy and working. Then the next year you get into a car accident and are left with thousands of dollars in medical bills. In addition, the company you worked for went out of business and now you are unemployed. Very quickly you find yourself homeless.

It is important to note that homelessness can happen to anyone. The Florida District of Circle K International invites you and your club to combat the stigma that homeless people are just drunks. We invite you all to place a special emphasis on homeless children, veterans, and those with mental illnesses. We encourage you to not only serve food, prepare care packages, and read with the children, but also to have a cup of coffee with a homeless person and share a smile.

Ways to Get Involved:

Check out our 2016-2017 Governor’s Project manual on ideas on ways your club can serve!

Consider buying a baseball t-shirts, for $15 ($20 total if shipped to you). Half of the proceeds raised will go to charities in the state of Florida that benefit homelessness, while the other half will go to making care packages at our annual District Convention.
